Simple Loose Leaf Tea Subscription Box

When tea becomes ritual, it takes its place at the heart of our ability to see greatness in small things.

Hey, Beauty! As you can tell by the title of this post, today I’ll be talking about Simple Loose Leaf and their monthly subscription box of fine tea blends. A couple of months ago Simple Loose Leaf reached out, asking me if I would be interested in reviewing their subscription box for a year and share my experience with you. I can’t tell you how happy I was! Like, seriously! Of course I said “YES!”…

By now you probably already know about my obsession with subscription boxes and adding tea to the mixture… girl, we are getting on another level here! If you love tea as much as I do and you want to learn more about this amazing company and what they offer, please read along! You won’t be disappointed!

About Simple Loose Leaf

Simple Loose Leaf is US based, family owned company dedicated to enriching people’s lives though the love of tea. Two brothers and a sister are running the company and I was able to experience their personal touch and values from the moment they contacted me. It’s not just a company – it’s truly a family and I was pleasantly surprised by this fact!

Another amazing thing that made me to hop right on this journey is what they are doing for their community! Simple Loose Leaf are partnering with company named Bost, which is what’s called a sheltered workplace. Bost provide employment opportunities to members of their local community that have developmental disabilities.

Through their partnership, Simple Loose Leaf and Bost are able to provide employment to about 20 members of the community Bost serves. Sounds great, right? Well, it is and if you want to learn more about it click here.

 Red Blood Orange Loose Tea

The Concept

Fine selection of four hand packed loose leaf teas delivered each month to your door step – who would say no to that? The concept is simple, yet genius! I love having the chance to experience variety of tastes and then to buy more of what I like. It’s like wine tasting, but it’s tea!

Simple Loose Leaf offers two type of subscription boxes. You can choose from Classic Tea Box and Decaf Tea Box. With each box you receive a black tea, a green tea, an herbal tea and one according to the season; reusable organic linen tea filters and little booklet with information.

 Simple Loose Leaf February Box

What’s in the February Box

In the box for February I received Red Blood Orange Herbal, Genmaicha Green tea, Red Robe Oolong and Blue Lady Grey.

The tea comes in small resealable pouches and each pouch is 10 grams. You get around 20 plus cups of your box as the recommended amount of tea per cup is 2 grams on average. I think that’s pretty decent amount for a tasting box.

Hands down my absolute favorite tea of the February box is the Red Blood Orange Herbal. It has the most amazing aroma of tropic island and it’s great to be consumed hot as well as cold.

Price

The price of the monthly box is $9 plus shipping and you get discount if you get the yearly subscription plan. There are also different subscription options, so you can choose what fits you best. You are welcome to use my coupon code BEAUTYANDTHENATURE that gives you $2 discount on any order, tea subscription or tea store purchase.

Availability

At the moment you can purchase your monthly subscription box from Simple Loose Leaf official website, but they are also planning to start selling on Amazon in the near future, so I’ll keep you posted on that.

Delivery

Each box is shipped on the first day of the month and you get a tracking number to follow your order. Mine arrived for about a week from US to Bulgaria, which is crazy fast. However the local post office lost my package and I got it two weeks later, hence my late review.

Will I recommend it to a friend?

Absolutely! In fact, I already did! I think it is a great concept and very affordable way to try variety of premium teas from all over the world. Because, let’s be honest – high quality tea is not a cheap treat and you can’t really buy 10 – 15 grams just to try it out. Plus it’s always nice to have the moment of surprise when opening your monthly box, don’t you think?

In my opinion this is the perfect gift for every tea enthusiast… or for yourself! You know – for those moments of self-indulgence and self-care! Because, what better way to spend your Sunday afternoons than with a book and a cuppa tea! Any other introverts here… or it’s just me?! Lol

Have you tried any of Simple loose Leaf teas? What’s your favorite tea in general?
