ABOUT

Akamuti is small privately owned company, situated in Wales, UK. The company was founded in 2003 by Lindsey Hedges, a certified aromatherapist, who is passionate about botanical ingredients. And her passion can be seen in all of their products. Akamuti offers huge range of essential and carrier oils, natural creams, face masks, bath & body products and many more. The word “akamuti” has African origin and can be translated as “Little Tree” or “A Little Bit of Medicine” – a recognition of the healing properties of the trees (and the plants) that they use in their products.

WHY I LOVE THEM

I discovered Akamuti few years ago and I instantly fell in love with their brand, values and ethics. As you know I am a huge lover of all-natural skin care and their handcrafted range infused with botanicals is all I ever asked for. Their products are 100% natural, fair traid and free from chemicals, additives, preservatives and artificial fragrances. Furthermore the company has strong and inspiring position regarding our planet, the animals and the humanity. Their huge range of products serves all skin types and offers something for everyone. If you are in a search of all-natural, cruelty-free skin, body and hair care, that offers lots of vegan options then make sure to to try some of the Akamuti products. You won’t be disappointed!

FAVORITE PRODUCTS

Here are some of my most favourite products from Akamuti, where the Chocolate Marshmallow Face Mask and the African Black Soap are my absolute favorite. Those four products make the perfect skin care routine if you have oily, combination and/or acne prone skin.

First wash your face with the African Black soap in order to remove all the makeup and impurities. Then spray generously your face with the Witch Hazel toner and finish by applying few drops of the Sweet Almond oil all over your face. Rub it gently onto your skin and don’t forget the area around your eyes and your neck. What I like to do is to apply it also on my lashes for thick, long and healthy lashes. For more uses of the Almond Oil check my post here
For some extra care and pampering I like to use the Chocolate Marshmallow mask once or twice per week, usually before shower and after steaming my face. That allows my skin to absorb all the goodies from the mask.

1. Authentic African Black Soap
2. Chocolate Marshmallow Face Mask
3. Organic Witch Hazel Face Water & Toner
4. Sweet Almond Carrier Oil

Affiliate Program

I am also very excited and proud to share with you that recently I was approved as a member of Akamuti’s Affiliate Program. This means that if you choose to purchase something through the links in this post I would receive a small comission. Please note that, there would be NO extra charge on your behalf!

Here I want to make a quick DISCLAIMER and to tell you that I have never been sponsored in any way from Akamuti. I bought all of the products mentioned in this post with my own money and this is my honest opinion.
I would never share with you something that I don’t believe in 100% and I don’t like with all my heart.
The fact that I like this company and their products so much was the reason to apply for their affiliate program
in the first place.

Well, that was for today’s post. I hope you like it and you find it useful! xx

Have you tried some Akamuti products already? Which are your most favorite?
